Description
Viking Age (800-1050 AD).
Silver coin depicting a Viking longship, probably minted in Hedeby, Denmark early in the ninth century, and found in the great Viking marketplace at Birka in Sweden. Although not a coin in the real sense of the term, it was simply an early form of currency depending on the weight of the silver it contained.
An ideal gift idea for both Him and for Her.
