Description
Viking Age (800-1050 AD).
Found in 1988 at Åsum Enggård, just east of Odense, in Denmark. The motif is a "Gribedyr", or "Gripping Beast", a four-footed mythical animal of the Viking Age. It appears in many different forms throughout Viking Art, sometimes entangeled in combat with snakes, sometimes alone with curled lips and backneck curls, but always curiously engaging.
An ideal gift idea for Her.
Individually numbered and hallmarked. A booklet detailing the age and the place of origin of the original is included.
