Pre-Viking Age (400-800 AD.).
Bracteate (thin disc) found near Roskilde, Denmark, and worn as a good luck charm. Although Nordic in essence (the style and runic inscriptions), it was based on the Roman medallions model, but differs insofar as it is struck only on one side.
